Intuit “Take Up Space” Experience
Client: Intuit
Events: AfroTech, RenderATL, BFUTUR
Role: Creative Direction, Experience Design, Brand Storytelling
Deliverables: Concept Development, Experiential Design, Spatial Narrative, Interactive Moments, Visual Direction
Overview
Intuit partnered with CK Creative to bring its “Take Up Space” platform to life through a multi-city experiential activation showcased at AfroTech, RenderATL, and BFUTUR.
The experience was designed to be more than a booth. It was a statement. “Take Up Space” challenged attendees to step confidently into their potential, claim visibility, and recognize their value within tech and creative ecosystems that have historically underrepresented them.
CK Creative translated this powerful message into a physical environment that felt bold, affirming, and unapologetic.
The Challenge
Intuit sought an experiential concept that would:
- Resonate deeply with Black technologists, creatives, and founders
- Feel authentic, empowering, and culturally relevant
- Stand out across multiple conferences while remaining cohesive
- Create an emotional connection, not just brand awareness
The challenge was to avoid surface-level messaging and instead create an experience that felt personal, affirming, and human while still operating at scale.
The Creative Approach
CK Creative grounded the activation in one core belief:
Taking up space is both personal and collective.
The experience was designed as a visual and emotional affirmation. Every element encouraged attendees to see themselves as deserving of visibility, opportunity, and influence.
Our approach focused on:
- Bold spatial presence to physically model the idea of taking up space
- Clear, declarative messaging that reinforced confidence and belonging
- Intentional design moments that invited reflection, participation, and pride
- Cultural fluency that respected the audience without over-explaining
Rather than telling people to take up space, the environment modeled what it looks like when you do.
Experience Design Highlights
- A visually striking booth designed to command attention on the show floor
- Affirming language and graphic treatments that centered empowerment
- Interactive touchpoints that encouraged participation and self-expression
- A layout that supported flow, gathering, and conversation
- Photo-forward moments that allowed attendees to see themselves reflected in the brand
Each iteration of the experience was thoughtfully adapted for AfroTech, RenderATL, and BFUTUR while maintaining a consistent creative core.
