Creative people often have a hard time valuing themselves. We have this idea that we can’t charge a premium for what we do because we actually enjoy our work. To people just starting out, you do need a few years of experience under your belt first. Start on the low end, and gain as much experience as you can. But if your prices stay in the bottom bracket for too long, potential clients see that as a sign that your work is in the bottom bracket too. Eventually, you need to have the confidence to raise your prices.
